Summary:

This follows the events of the first move. This starts when it is Bellas 18th birthday. Which she isnt the biggest fan of since her boyfriend is 109 stuck in a 17 year old body.

So when a birthday party goes down at the Cullens place thats when all shit goes down. Jasper attacks Bella for a paper cut. Causing Carlisle to stitch her up. So the next day, Edward tells her that they are leaving without her. Leaving her depressed due to not having Edward.

Slowly, she starts to trust Jacob who starts to become her best friend. To the point to where she is starting to spend every waking moment of when she isnt at home or school with him. But when he turns into a wolf, he pushes away because of the fact of what happened to Emily when Sam imprinted on her and said something that made Sam turn into a wolf while she was to close.

Bella isnt going to take this lying down because she already lost too much with the Cullens leaving and she doesnt want to be more depressed than she already was. She doesnt want to lose the next most important person in her life. So she will know that no matter what it is, she will keep the secret safe from those who dont need to know.

But she still isnt over edward due to her STILL seeing him everywhere. Which leads to her jumping off the cliff and almost drowning for at the very least Alice to come back and see if she is okay and still alive. Alice tells Bella that Edward has gone to the Volturi because he wants to die as well because he thinks that Bella is dead.

So when Edward finds out that Bella is in fact that Bella is still alive it starts something with the Volturi even though they still have the Victoria problem to deal with. The Volturi want Bella to change into a vampire even if that is not something that Edward wants to do himself.

So when they finally get back to Forks, the Cullen family take a vote on weather or not Bella should be changed into a vampire. The majority of them vote yes. And Edward pretty much proposes to Bella. Especially if Bella wants Edward to change her himself.

Thought:

I think that this is one of my favorite movies in the saga. It might not be my favorite. But it’s definitely top 3. Think might be because this is the movie where we get introduced to the wolves and they have always been my favorite part of the twilight universe.

I think that I loved the dynamic of Bella and Jacobs relationship because we didn’t get to see a whole lot of that in the first film because it was more focused on Bella and Edward and their relationship and setting up the rest of the saga. This one focus’ more on the relationship of Bella and Jacob even if it does seem more one sided due to the moves being told from Bellas POV and Edward and Jacob being the main males in the saga.

I think that the reason that the relationship in this movie is so far one sided because I think that it is clear that Jacob is in love with Bella, weather you have read the series or not. But Bella only sees Jacob as this friend, who she loves yes, but not in the same sense as Jacob loves her. Even when they do stuff together like rebuilt the bikes it is clear that Bella seems more herself than she probably ever could have been with Edward. Which is something that I liked because with Jacob she gets to be more laid back and more herself but with Edward it seems like she is trying way to hard to be this perfect person for him.

I do still enjoy new moon as a whole but there are some flaws to it. Like using a real life tribe and redoing some of their legends and myths to fit the story that dont line up with what the tribe believes in. Even though some are okay with the exposure that Twilight has given the tribe, the voices of those who arent okay with this shouldnt go ignored.

Rating:

3 out of 5

Worth The Watch:

Yes. I think that this and the series are worth the watch. But please note that the Quileutes are a real tribe which were affected by the Twilight Saga.
