I do enjoy blogging and as much as I know I can post movie and television content on my book blog; I would like to keep them separate. If I do have a review up a link to said review on the post. Just so that way if you are interested in reading what I have to say about the book version, it will be there. As a reader as well, I tend to try and read the book first before watching the adaptation. But that might not always be the case. There will be adaptation reviews (IE Twilight, Shadow and Bone, Perks Of Being A Wallflower) where I haven't read the book but will watch the movie.
What To Expect:
You can expect a lot of movies and tv content. From reviews to lists. Once I get started, I will know more about what kind of content I want to put out. I know I would like to get out of my comfort zone and talk more about what some of the movies and shows I normally wouldn't watch on my own.
I might talk about books on this blog. But that is only for things like adaptations that I would like to watch. There are adaptations that I would like to watch that I haven't seen yet. And if I have read the book, I might be doing a comparison between the two.
When Will I Post:
I am going to try and post every Monday and Thursday. Just so that way if I am going to be doing a review it will give me time to post content. Movie related content will be aimed to be posted on Monday and TV content will be aimed to be posted on Thursday.
If I can't post on Monday and Thursday, for whatever reason, I will be aiming for Wednesday and Friday. But I am going to try and schedule things in advance so that way there is still something going out even when I am busy.
What Kind Of Movie/Tv Shows Do I Like?
I mainly gravitate towards the romance category of movies. I really enjoy those. As for tv, its mainly along the lines of drama, suspense, fantasy, sci-fi. Shows that can get you invested and want to watch. And also, these genres are the best to flesh out (in my opinion) if they are television shows.
The genres that I like for TV can make great movies. And there are great movies that fall in these genres. But just because I enjoy a fantasy television show (Shadow and Bone for example) doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a fantasy movie from time to time (The Princess Bride).
