Summary:

This follows our main character Cassie. The movie starts with Cassie wanting to celebrate her birthday. She goes out with her best friend Lisa, who ends up getting into an argument with and it ends up backfiring. This ends up being the last night of Cassie’s life. Because next thing she knows she’s dead. Now Cassie needs to find a way to right her wrongs on earth before going to Heaven.

When Val, her guardian angel in the in-between stage, gives her a list of names, Cassie doesn’t know how she is going to right her wrongs. But she ends up finding a way to make sure everyone is going to be okay with her being gone.

Thoughts:

I honestly enjoyed this movie a lot more than I thought I would. It did seem like there were parts of this movie that I wasn’t a fan of.

For someone who couldn’t communicate with the living (other than with Lisa her best friend), Cassie did made it seem like someone was breaking into houses and apartments. Of her former neighbor, of her father, even the bakery that has been open for a year. I understood WHY Cassie was doing it but from the perspective of the neighbor it seems strange of why you wake up one morning to his apartment having things it didnt have before.

There were moments that made me want to cry. Like when her yoga-loving father starts up yoga again. After having a hard year struggling to know whats next after losing Cassie. As a viewer, you might feel the guilt that the mother feels after knowing why she left Cassie when she was younger. Her mother wanted Cassie to meet her younger half sister but some how that just never happened.

Is It Worth The Watch?

Depends on who you ask. As this is a story about a life lost to soon in a tragic freak accident. If you are looking for comedy gold then this isn’t for you. If you are looking for a movie with a deeper meaning, like making sure others will be okay once you’re gone, then this might be a movie to watch.

Rating:

3 out of 5 stars
