Summary:
This follows the main male character of Cole who is from 1334. A medieval knight who is set out on a quest to find out his one true love.
It also follows the main female character of Brooke who is a high school teacher who still isn’t over her ex who cheated on her.
So when Cole is sent to the year 2019, he doesn’t know what to expect. He is surprised at how different the world is compared to where England in the 1300s. He meets Brooke who is going to help him on his quest to help him back home in order to see his brother’s ceremony taking place on Christmas Day 1334.
But what neither of them was expecting was to fall in love with the other. The more that Brooke is wanting to help Cole get use to modern day the more she is willing to get over her ex. And does help him with realizing that this is 2019 and not 1334 so some of the things that are “normal” in 1334 are no longer “normal” in the year of 2019.
Thoughts:
This movie felt very hallmark. Like it would be something that you would watch on Hallmark and not Netflix. I still enjoyed it especially when you need some sort of comfort. The story felt familiar. The characters felt familiar. The world felt familiar.
I found myself laughing threw this movie because Cole felt like an outcast in the year of 2019. I know it was because he’s from 1334 and it makes sense but I still found it funny because it was like “of course he’s gonna eat the rolls in the supermarket.”
Would I Recommend:
If you love cheesy romance Christmas movies then yes. It may not be the best Christmas movie but it’s definitely one to watch if you want something different and dont want to watch Hallmark all day. You get the sense of Hallmark without watching Hallmark. If you ask me that is a plus.
